Okay, what better to blog about then my own life and building my brand and business, EKG Couture. I'll start by introducing myself, my real name is Raymond Sebastian De La O Galindo, I go by Sebastian De La O for the obvious reason.I was born in San Bernardino, CA. I am the product of Christine and Raymond Sebastian Galindo (Sr). My father kinda set me up for, first comes failure, then comes success type of path of life. He would never let me do much labor he would say I don't have to work hard, I need to use my head. My father and I lived in Los Angeles when I was a young child and I watched my father open a few small business ventures before he passed from heart failure in 1992.

I grew up living like a gypsy moving from one place to another all my life, trying to find my purpose, which brings me to were I am today. I made a decision to move to LA at the end of 2005 and finish what my father started. So when it came time for me to look for work in the city of Angeles, I was offered jobs from major corporations, but those are the jobs I have always had (J C Penny, Macy's, Robinson May, Pier One Imports etc) So I refused to take a job from a major corporation, If I was to live in LA, the land of one of the biggest shipping ports of the world, I wanted to try to change my Spoiled American mentality, and get into the mentality of these foreigners that come from China, Iran, Turkey, Korea , and have the balls to go into business for themselves and aren't to proud to beg. I wanted to take my chances and step into there shoes and learn and take a chance with my life.

So, I got a job Downtown LA in the Fashion District for a Persian man and his beautiful wife, that had just went into business for themselves, I worked hard to build there business and I took there success personal and I fell in love with working with them, I cared deeply to see them succeed, in which I grew very close to working for them and I consider it a internship of sales. They had incredibly strong sales technique (trust me), there is a lot of competition on that street were our boutiques was so each sell counted and we couldn't let the customer walk, because they could find similar items down the street for a lot less.

I learned so much, here I was an American guy in his prime at 26 years of age working for and with all these foreign people from Mexico, El Salvador, Korea, Iran. People would ask me if I had my papers, they couldn't believe a young American guy like myself not doing better for myself.
I must say, life has been very hard and humbling and eye opening that money or formal training can't produce and I consider my knowledge and experience priceless, since moving to LA.

I have always kept my head down and continued taking business classes and fashion merchandising classes, escaping into my music, thank god for music!! All the while, so many times I have wanted to cry with keeping up with this path but I have managed to find god in the process of being in dark places in the city of Angeles, and God has grabbed me tight, carried me, made me a stronger and better person. My friends and family have no idea what I am about and what I am doing with my life in LA, I live my life with one vision and goal in mind, to finish what my father started and go into business for myself! I am very scared but fearless at the same time (weird)and I have all this knowledge of fashion and business, and I know one fact, and that is I am ready and time now for me to finally make this happen.

So I will be blogging about all that I am doing when it comes to the birth of EKG Couture. You might want to stay tuned into to this blog, I lived it and learned it the hard way, and I will give you a first hand portal to trade secrets, and going into a fashion business, from the eye's of this typical American guy.I went into operation 01/01/2010, and my first 3 weeks in business I have pulled in over 4,000 in profit on the net, with out my site even up yet and with selling only 4 items on 1 online mall, many more malls to plug into and many more items and of course ekgcouture.com coming this Feb 16,2010. I will definitely blog about the road map, to selling in today's. market.

My next blog will be about all the little steps I have taken already to get me to this point. as far as business licenses, selling platforms products, suppliers etc etc.
